WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO “BREATHE LOW & SLOW”
Most of us are habituated into shallow chest breathing.
I’m sure that you know by now how detrimental this is for our health.
As a little refresher, here are some of the main issues of shallow breathing:
restricts oxygen intake
triggers the body’s sympathetic nervous system
leads to chronic stress, fatigue, and muscle tension
reduces lung capacity
increases heart rate and blood pressure
can cause anxiety or panic attacks
leads to chronic neck/shoulder pain & so much more. I could so easily fill this page.
I teach classes to well over 100 people every week and shallow breathing is the main issue I see in people’s bodies.
I want you to feel amazing and for your nervous system to be happy and so I created this very quick and easy video tutorial to help re-pattern your body into that “low and slow breath” that I constantly refer to in my classes:
Let me know in the comments below how that landed in your body! I always love to hear from you.
Big love,
