WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO “BREATHE LOW & SLOW”

Most of us are habituated into shallow chest breathing.

I’m sure that you know by now how detrimental this is for our health.

As a little refresher, here are some of the main issues of shallow breathing:

  • restricts oxygen intake

  • triggers the body’s sympathetic nervous system

  • leads to chronic stress, fatigue, and muscle tension

  • reduces lung capacity

  • increases heart rate and blood pressure

  • can cause anxiety or panic attacks

  • leads to chronic neck/shoulder pain & so much more. I could so easily fill this page.

I teach classes to well over 100 people every week and shallow breathing is the main issue I see in people’s bodies.

I want you to feel amazing and for your nervous system to be happy and so I created this very quick and easy video tutorial to help re-pattern your body into that “low and slow breath” that I constantly refer to in my classes:

Let me know in the comments below how that landed in your body! I always love to hear from you.

Big love,
